Appearance: Askr is a rather tall and tan man, with a squarish jaw and a small amount of stubble upon his chin. His hair is black and very short, only sticking out around his head in small spiky tufts, though he by no means has a discrepancy of hair. His somewhat thickish arms are covered with black hair, as is the majority of his chest. He is in very good shape, but he does have a bit of a rounded stomach. He normally covers up with his casual clothes: a black, plain tanktop with a darkish green and white plaid shirt on top of it. The plaid shirt is heavy flannel, and is button-up style with buttonable cuffs. The sleeves are rolled up slightly, and the shirt is completely unbuttoned, even though the collar is turned down. The bottom consists of close fitting jeans and a brown, woven leather belt, and the shoes are simple light brown leather loafers. He will switch into any necessary armor whenever necessary, and he has pale, calm blue eyes. He has his Fairy Tail tattoo just above his right pectoral muscle.
Personality: Askr is a lighthearted man, friendly and always willing to share a laugh. He cares for his friends very deeply, but he has some problems with choosing his priorities. He has a rigid training schedule, and can almost never be convinced to break from routine when he has built one up. He believes in always working to better oneself, or at least maintaining a healthy body. If a friend or guildmate does not take care of their body, he will work as hard as possible to help them improve their health. Askr also seeks to improve his swordsmanship skills, and frequently spars with anyone he gets the opportunity to.
History: Askr was born to the Orrusti family of Magnolia, a foreign family who came to Magnolia to try to get their sword magicians into the Fairy Tail guild. Along with the Orrusti family came the Volundr family, a family of skilled magic smiths. The Volundr and the Orrusti clans had long been allies in their homeland, and in this town of Magnolia, they hoped to leave their mark, just as they had done in their home country. Askr longed to be a capable The Knight user, like his father was. From a young age, Askr idolized his father and trained to gain his approval.

Askr's father took his son's excitement to heart, and when Askr was thirteen, his father began helping Askr to develop a training regimen to best facilitate Askr's development as a swordsman before training him to control his magical abilities. This part of Askr's training took around five years, during which time he honed his martial abilities and became a very skilled fighter against those who did not use magic to supplement their fighting capabilities. During this time, one of his comrades six years his senior, Smidr Volundr, began his smithing training under HIS father, and the two quickly progressed to be the up-and-coming stars of their families. Thus, they were excited to start their training in the magical arts.

Askr was chosen to receive unique training in the art of the magic Requip, a magic taught to very few members of the Orrusti family. Askr resolved to focus on ensuring his skill did not rely on magical artifacts, and that those artifacts would only enhance his skill, not the other way around. Askr thus has stayed with only using his basic armor, and only recently has started looking into new armors. He and his old friend Smidr made a pact: any materials Askr found, Smidr would make armor for him. He managed to get into Fairy Tail by virtue of his martial skill alone, and has been training to increase his magic capacity for when he has more armors.
